The Action Plan for the Development of the Intelligent Connected Vehicle (ICV) Industry was issued on 25 Dec. 2018.

The Plan is divided into 7 parts, which aim to make China achieve the following goals: (1) To make a breakthrough in cross-industry integration in the ICV industry, and realize the large-scale application of intelligent connected vehicles (L3) with high-level automatic driving function under specific scenarios by the year 2020; and (2) To gradually realize the large-scale commercial application of intelligent connected vehicles with high-level automatic driving function and 5G-V2X after the year 2020.
