On 30 May 2023, China’s Ministry of Justice (MOJ) issued the “Notice on Further Advancing Overseas Remote Video Notarization” (關(guān)于進(jìn)一步推進(jìn)海外遠(yuǎn)程視頻公證工作的通知).
Prior to this, MOJ had carried out a pilot program for remote video notarization in 2022 and announced the first 94 notarial institutions offering this service.
MOJ has published a list of 295 notarial institutions and embassies and consulates abroad that carry out remote video notarization.
You can accept this service if you want to get a notarization in China but do not want to come to China.
