China Maritime Trial Website Launched

On 25 Apr. 2022, the website of China Maritime Trial  was officially launched. The website is available in English.

Led by China’s Supreme People’s Court (SPC), the website was supported by the Guangdong High People’s Court and built by the Guangzhou Maritime Court, covering the maritime adjudication work of 11 maritime courts and their appellate higher people’s courts across the country as well as the SPC.

The website provides the public information on litigation services, legal resources, trial research as well as trial and enforcement data, etc.

Among them, the “Litigation Services” provides a lawyer service platform, a mediation platform, a service of process platform, the People’s Court litigation Assets website, China Judgments Online and other websites. The “Legal Resources” lists maritime-related guiding cases, cases in the SPC Gazette and typical cases.

The website is one of the few Chinese courts to have an English version. This may also be related to the internationalization of maritime disputes.

Orient Thai Airlines Co., Ltd. (2023) Gui 71 Xie Wai Ren No. 1).
