On 8 May 2023, China issued the “Announcement of Matters Concerning the Implementation of the China VI Emission Standards for Vehicles” (關(guān)于實施汽車國六排放標準有關(guān)事宜的公告).
Accordingly, from 1 July 2023, China will fully implement the China VI-b emission standards for light-duty vehicles and the China VI-b emission standards for diesel fueled heavy-duty vehicles nationwide.
China will ban the production, import and sale of vehicles that fail to meet the China VI-b emission standards. Vehicle manufacturers and importers must ensure that the vehicles they produce and import meet the requirements.
