Beijing Courts Release 30-Year IP Report in English

On 29 Nov. 2023, the Beijing High People’s Court released the “White Paper on Beijing Courts Specialized Trial of Intellectual Property Cases for Three Decades (1993-2023)” (北京法院知識產權專業化審判三十年白皮書(1993-2023), hereinafter the “White Paper”).

In addition to the Chinese version, this White Paper is also available in English, indicating a strong intention to broaden international understanding of the report’s content.

The report documents the overall situation of Beijing courts in intellectual property cases from 1993 to 2023.

The data indicates that from 1993 to September 2023, Beijing courts received 624,577 intellectual property cases and concluded 598,228 cases, with an average annual growth rate exceeding 22%.
